KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) – The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department has a new chief.

The city council gave the badge to Aaron Jameson Tuesday night. Jameson replaces Jeremy Feusner who had moved away. Kearney is the largest city in Nebraska with a volunteer fire department.

With this appointment, Jameson becomes the 28th chief in the 140-year history of the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department. Jameson works full-time for Kearney Public Schools.
